We normally accept ten persons for each six months training course from October 2nd to March 25th each year. We expect those who are accepted for training to be enrolled in and working on the YOGA: STEP-BY-STEP Correspondence Course.

This is a 52 Lesson Course written by our Guru Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri, which lays out, in a systematic manner, his approach to the science of Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga (Gitananda Yoga). It is also used as the basic syllabus of the in-residence training. While studying the correspondence course, simple questions are asked at the end of each lesson. You answer these questions and send them to us in batches of four lessons. If you have questions on the material studied, you may ask them and if I can, I will answer them. This interchange helps us also to establish a relationship, so we “know each other” even before you arrive in person. You also come with a “general idea” of the “path” we will take together. In a sense, it is like studying a “map” before you actually embark on the journey. The cost of the Correspondence Course is US $ 650. This includes a three-year subscription to our monthly magazine YOGA LIFE.

When you have arranged your affairs to enable you to join the six month training, you must send application forms with photo and a $ 1000 deposit to hold your seat for the course before June 30th of the year in which you are enrolling.

The present cost of the residential course is $ 650 per month, or $ 3900 for the Six Month Training. These fees for the first three months must be paid on arrival, and the second three months by December 25th. You may pay the full six months of $ 3900/- also on arrival if you wish.

Further practical details will be sent to you on enrollment. Please note: Ashram life is a clean life style. Those who apply must be free of all bad habits, and addictions, and must be willing to adopt a vegetarian diet for the six months of the course.
