Yoga and Meditation in Bali
We humans have the greatest potential to be relaxed, kind and at peace, yet our daily lives dictate us otherwise. This retreat will bring us back to our birthright of inner beauty and contentment.
We will settle into this mode of being in a small Swiss retreat center on the North shore of the island. Vegetarian food will be our main dish, light and cooked with great care. Fruits and juices available.
The rooms are artistic and beautifully laid out. The octagonal yoga room has a roof to shelter from the sun, no walls to let air circulate, most conducive to our practice. We will visit the local temple and school to touch in with the community.
After being well adjusted, we'll venture off to the sea shore where we have the possibility to snorkel in the coral garden and dive through a sunken ship. This hotel is very Balinese, right on the clear blue ocean, under palm trees.
Massages available. Just divine. The next town will be the cultural center of the whole island, Ubud. Temple dances are offered most every night, some times until sunrise. The best local painters and wood carvers exhibit in this town.
It has an unusual wealth of beauty...and traffic and internet cafes. We will stay in a traditional Balinese inn, take walks through the rice fields and go shopping for art and jewelry. On the way home, we'll stop for 1 day and night in Bankogk. It will be difficult to leave this beautiful and exotic part of the world, but we can return every year.
