Steady Bliss in the news
Steady Bliss™ was born one day when Anastasia was reading the ancient sage Pattanjali's
Yoga Sutras. One of the sutras really spoke to her — Sthira Sukham Asanam (Connection
to the Earth [or yoga pose] should be steady and joyful). Anastasia decided to commit her life to spreading steady
bliss.
Since then, Anastasia and Steady Bliss™ have been featured in NY Spirit Magazine,
Fit Yoga Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, Lucky
Magazine and others.
Anastasia is a Jivamukti-certified yoga teacher, registered with the Yoga Alliance. She is a member of the Yoga Therapists Association, a yoga-for-tennis expert and a yoga advisor for the USTA Tennis League.
Anastasia teaches yoga at various corporations and tennis clubs in New York. She also leads nutrition, holistic health and diet workshops. As a graduate of
The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Anastasia believes that there is no one diet that works for everyone, so
she employs various Eastern and Western nutrition philosophies and diet while working with her clients. Anastasia successfully works with multiple private clients and teaches them in yoga, meditation, nutrition and overall health.
In January 2004, Anastasia launched , a line of comfortable and stylish yoga clothing. Blissful clothing was featured in an Urban Yoga video and is being sold in multiple stores and online. Anastasia's non-yogi friends enjoy wearing Blissful clothing to parties
and to the gym, while the yogis love wearing Blissful Wear™ to classes.
She produced and starred in two DVD's: Yoga for Tennis and Yoga For Tennis Elbow and Bad Knees, both available for purchase on this site.
Anastasia is deeply devoted to her twelve-year old yoga practice, meditating and working on asanas (poses) on a
daily basis. She has been fortunate to have studied and attended kirtans, workshops and lectures of great teachers such as Sharon Gannon, David Life, David Swenson, Sri Pattabhi Jois,
Bikram, Manorama (Sanskrit), Alan Finger, Ram Das, Bhagavan
Das, Robert Thurman and others. Anastasia is deeply thankful to all of them for sharing their time, light,
love and wisdom.
Anastasia has experienced many styles and schools of yoga, such as Sivananda, Iyengar,
Kundalini, Hatha and Ashtanga, eventually falling in love with the Jivamukti
method (the leading yoga method in the United States). Anastasia's yoga classes range from mild to vigorous, with the
emphasis on vinyasa (flow of postures, linked by breath). The classes also include multiple held postures,
breathing exercises and brief meditation. She teaches all levels, from beginners to advanced.
Prior to becoming a a yoga teacher and a nutrition counselor, Anastasia was a professional model with photographs
published in Maxim, Marie Claire, Stuff, Glamour
and Bride magazines. Anastasia holds a degree in journalism from New York University and
has had multiple articles published online and in various magazines. She is a published author of Diary of a
Model — a story-based novel based on true events. In her free time, Anastasia enjoys painting and listening to a
water fountain in her living room.
Anastasia is fluent in English, Russian, Hebrew and has a good working knowledge of French.
In addition to the constant study of yoga, Anastasia is a Master of Reiki and is available for healing sessions. Reiki is a wonderful system of subtle energy healing, that employs hands and distant healing techniques.
Anastasia is available by Ma yoga to teach prenatal yoga classes, which she enjoys greatly. Currently Anastasia is in the process of studyingfor a Ph.D in Natural Health.
