Gaia is the space for our wellness activites at Hacienda San Lucas. The energy here is undescribeable, it must be experienced in person. Directly overlooking the Mayan ruins, the magic of the valley fills your spirit. Countless people have exclaimed after a sunset yoga class "this is the most amazing place to do yoga".
Our wellness packages, in association with Hacienda San Lucas, include accommodation, meals, Kripalu yoga classes daily or twice a day, guided meditation, Healing Energy Massage or Hot stone therapy. Currently we have weekend packages, but we can custom build them especially for you.
Ongoing packages can also include adventure activities like zip-line tours and hiking, or be centered around wellness and spiritual activities like a Maya Cosmo-vision journey at the nearby natural spa, a traditional temazcal (Maya Sauna), or Sound Therapy sessions with the digiridoo and Tibetan singing bowl. Or maybe you prefer a bit of both, you can choose your ideal retreat.
MAYA HEART JOURNEY Retreat: YOGA MAYA FUSION (July 20-27, 2008)
Awakening the Path of Maya Consciousness through yoga, meditation, shamanic healing,
and sacred ceremony.
Come learn to harmonize the ancient path of Yoga with Maya Cosmovision through an exploration of the elements, rhythms of time and breath, movement, and meditation, with the intention of connecting to and honoring that which is sacred.
Join us in the ancient Mayan kingdom of Copan for a week of yoga, relaxation, spiritual inquiry, and deep healing experiences.
This retreat includes:
Daily Kripalu Yoga sessions, one inside the grounds of sacred Mayan Ruins for special ceremonial day and tour. **This tour also includes entrance fee to Archaeological Park and Sculpture museum, Catered picnic brunch, and guided tour with sanctioned bilingual guide.
Also included:
• Daily shamanic sessions with AumRak
• A guided Meditative hike
• Maya Cosmovision Tour to nearby Luna Jaguar Spa
• Healing musical ceremony and bonfire
• Temazcal (Traditional Maya Sauna) with dinner.
• 7 Nights Accommodation with breakfast and 5 candlelit dinners
• 2 packed lunches for excursions
• Local transportation to and from excursions
• Arrival and Departure Transfer from town to San Lucas

Weekly, at our center, we host spiritual music workshops with many kinds of indigenous percussion and vibrational instruments from around the world. We aim to create a healing vibration for the valley of Copan in all of our activites. Come join us for an afternoon or an entire week of wellness adventure.

Classes at Gaia are Wednesday mornings at 8:00 and Saturdays at 3:00 and require a reservation.
Classes at Seed of Light studio downtown are drop-in at 7:00pm on Tuesdays and at 9:30 am on Fridays.
