In the marvellous nature of mediteranean South French Ardèche is located former cloister Blancards, looking out to the Cevennes-mountains and the Provence.
In this small scale seminar centre are organized by course leaders - taking with them their own groups, up to 14 participants - one week's (or sometimes 10 days') artistic, creative and therapeutic workshops, aiming personal growth.
Visitors come from more than 7 countries, like UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria.
The lodging in this mansion, of which the most ancient parts date from the 14th century, is kept a litte bit austere in respect of the character of the place, but you find however all modern comforts. Up to 1985 the place has been used by the monastic order "The Cell of the Lord".
Special care is given to the meals, which are prepared with much creativity.
The house disposes of its own organic vegetable garden. Water is supplied by a natural source throughout the year. The meals are partially or wholly vegetarian.
In the centre the course leaders work at their own cost. They make reservations for a courseweek, and transfer a deposit for it, refunded as soon as the workshop is realized. The participants pay their lodging directly to the seminar centre, and pay also a deposit for the reservation of their rooms.
Les Blancards is a real meeting place, where people can work at their self-accomplishment.

In the services included are all meals, coffee, tea, cookies. Participants can dwell on serverall terraces.
Nearby Attractions:
Walking, swimming in wonderful rivers, climbing, tennis, markets, old towns, canyons, canoing and much more. However this kind of leasure is not the purpose of our seminar centre.
The historical mansion is located in the mediterranean part of the South French Ardèche, a region with an unspoiled nature, with mountains, and rivers like Ardèche, Labeaume and Chassezac. Below Les Blancards flows the brook "Le Blajoux". In this calm and serene surroundings you can relaxed work to your personal development.
We select our course leaders and teachers for their qualities and their readiness to set off learning adventures with the participants.
We have a hard core of course leaders which offer every year a series of workshops, like improvisation cello and voice (French), fairy tales as a way to inner growth (French), Singing (Dutch), a meditation and design week (Dutch), Healing (English), intuitive painting (German), Bates method of improving eyesight (French/English), several yoga workshops (German, French, English), etc.
The duration of the courses generally is five days/six nights. They begin Sunday evening with a reception meal, and they finish Saturday morning after breakfast.
Les Blancards is like the French say, a "lieu fort", a place where the forces of heaven and earth meet harmoniously. Coming here from your stressed up daily life, you will be amazed at having quickly you calm down. You will be re-energized by the wonderful surrounding nature with its woods, rivers and vineyards.

Participants have two workrooms (37 m² and 69 m²), six single rooms and four double rooms to their disposal. Their character respects the age-old architecture of the place. Bedclothes are provided. Showers and toilets are on the floors.
You lodging is on full board with a wholesome, colourful, partially or wholly, vegetarian organic cuisine.

The organic vegetable garden of the Centre is at 10 minutes walking distance on sun-drenched terraces. This was the place the monks that lived till 1985 at Les Blancards grew their greens. Water is supplied bu a natural source throughout the year.

* To confirm your booking we kindly request to pay the price of your stay immediately by transfer of € 75 per person, made payable to Centre « Les Blancards.
*The regular price of a six nights stay is € 348 for a single room, and € 288 per person for a double room. Special price for students. Student's ticket required.
* The Course Fee is fixed by the Course Carrier. You settle payment directly with him or her.
* Full board is obligatory. Camping is not possible.
* If you cancel your booking less than 6 weeks before the beginning of your Course, we are obliged to dock € 75 for administrative costs. For Courses organised together with NostraSofia these costs are € 150.
All rooms are equipped with a washbasin and central-heating. Toilets and showers are nearby on the floor.
Towels are not included. In case of necessity you can rent a set of two towels for € 1,50.
We recommand to arrange a cancellation insurance.
