Yoga and Detox 28th May-3rd June 2006 with Simon, Rumana and BOOTLACE
This holiday aims to cleanse on all levels - body and mind. The centre in the mountains of Sierra Nevada, Spain has some of the cleanest air in Europe, isolated villages and great walking.
The spring flowers will still be in full bloom as the summer heat approaches. Our experienced team consist of Paul and Fi (cooks and guides), Rumana (natrapath and herbalist) and Simon (yoga and Alexander Technique teacher).
Our accommodation will be in holiday cottages with twin rooms and bathroom en-suite. The centre has a pool with a delightful garden.
The group will be small about 12 and so a chance for personal attention during the detox process.
Paul and Fi run BOOTLACE walking company and have lived for many years in the valley restoring a farmhouse and managing their land. With years of experience of working with groups and fantastic cooks we are in good hands. The meals will be specially created to help the detox process and deliciously tasty too.
Rumana runs a successful health practice in Darlington and organises regular detoxification events. During the week you shall have an individual consultation with her, this special attention is an important ingredient in making this holiday an agent for change.
Simon teaches yoga in a wide variety of places and enjoys making yoga accessible to everyone. He teaches in Belmarsh Prison, schools, seated yoga to pensioners and general classes in Harlow and Leytonstone.
Simon was taught at the Dharma Yoga Centre in Harlow and inspired by The Bihar School of Yoga. The yoga will be powerful but not gymnastic, techniques for breathing and relaxation will aid the purfication journey.
Simon's aim is to encourge yoga students to practice on their own at home.
During the holiday a range of body workers are available, the cost not included in the price of the trip.
It is possible to go for walks, visit markets and villages and taste some of the local spanish flavour of the region, made famous by the book 'Driving Over Lemons' by Chris Stuwart.
The centre is near the town of Orgiva which is 2.5hrs from malaga and 1hr from Granada. It is possible to fly to either of these airports and arrange a pick up.
