I haven''t done yoga since before I had to start wearing compression stockings. I recently tried it again, but with the stockings I just can''t grip the floor very well. When I try to do the poses without my stockings, my legs hurt a lot because holding the poses is very bad for my circulation. I don''t have trouble jogging or speed walking without stockings because the blood is flowing well during those kinds of activities. Should I try more fast paced kind of yoga or is there another solution? Thanks!

I think wearing open toe compression stockings will prevent slipping when doing your yoga poses. There are so many benefits you can get wearing compression socks/stockings during yoga as well as when jogging or speed walking. Even if you say that you are being active during those activities, you can still benefit more and will feel the big difference when you wear compression socks during activities.

Gone are the days when compression socks and stockings are used only by patients with medical conditions requiring compression therapy and for post – surgery. Today, many doctors recommend wearing compression stockings and socks daily to improve leg health.

I am a casual wearer of compression stockings. I find it beneficial and noticed a great improvement in my daily activity. Compression hosiery are designed to provide the right amount of compression in your ankles to increase the blood flow in your legs to help relieve pain, discomfort and swelling. Many athletes say that when they wear compression socks after running hiking or walking their feet feel less tired and heavy. I believe them cause I’ve tried it myself. After ordering my first compression stockings from www.LegsTherapy.com and wore it daily for work, I’ve noticed my legs are less tired at the end of the day. The chat agent from Legs Therapy suggested JobstUltrasheer compression stockings with 15-20mmHg compression which I love because of how it feels against my skin. And since then I never go out without it. Anyway, try the open toes style compression stockings. It will give your feet a better grip on the floor and its going to be less slippery during yoga poses.

Hope this helps!
