Hi everybody!

I just need to share some of my thoughts!

Well, its been happening for a week already, towards the end of my yoga classes when we are doing the relaxation part, I feel like crying very much! Its even funny, I feel very very teary and sometimes I can feel the tears rolling down my face! Does someone knows why or experienced something like that?

The other thing is, I have been doing yoga for quite sometime now and for the past week I feel that I am very stiff, I used to do great at the forward bend and now I can barely do it! So im feeling a little bit not motivated thinking that I am making no progress! I know that I am wrong and that my body is adjusting itself but im just feeling very not motivated because I am very stiff!!

Does anyone have any suggestions???

Well that’s it !

Namaste!

uhmm i think as you said you're doing yoga "quite sometime.." so i think that was the first reason.
it also because your not focus on what you are doing..
after a month if you still feel like that, stiff. better ask your teacher.
i hope you will go through that..

Namaste, Thigrachet!
Regarding your desire to cry during the relaxation portion of your yoga practice, it is possibly a release of the negative energy your body consumed duirng the course of your day. I view it as a positive thing and you are going deep into your relaxation piece. Good for you!
Regarding your stiffness, are you going to a class or practicing yoga at home? Possible causes for stiffness is not performing your poses correctly.
Which variant of yoga do you practice?
What poses do you practice?

Namaste,
Renee

Hi and good weekend,
It is not uncommon to experience intense release of emotion with yoga. I have experienced this very much. Several years ago I was going through an end of a relationship, and really going through a change of lifestyle and stuff. I always cried when we finally relaxed and got to relaxation pose, or childs pose! Also, stiffness for me persisted for several years after starting yoga. Its all a part of a process and a journey. It is all good. Just enjoy it and feel it to its fullest.
Namaste,

Hello,
It is beleived that tears are purification. It is a good thing when it comes out. And about your progress... well, it is possible to progress in yoga, in different ways, not only in asanas, but inside the heart. Some time, when something become less easy, less interesting, it is good to take a break of it, in your case, not a break of yoga, but just may be change some asanas. In your observation of how you fell, you can identify what makes you fell better and what is not fonctionning as much as you want. Than, adapt your routine with what makes you fell good. In yoga it is not necessary to perform.
In a life a person changes, so the way your body and mind react to exactely the same movement will change as well. Probably one day, you will suddenly make a big bound ahead. You can fell youare forwarding or you are rewinding, but you are always in progress. In yoga you practice for many years, you fell changes but not always, it takes years to integrate the owl meaning of your work. The fruits can be something else than to accomplish more and more asanas, or to do every movement, every thing. The fruits can be to get suddenly, grace moments. It can be to get something in your life, a big change, a big gift given by the higher force, happyness, for exemple, resolution of old problems.
If you still think about yoga, during the day, and even you are not motivated for asanas, it is not a mather, think about yoga, continue, practice and pray. Practice I mean, give at least five minute of attention to yoga benefit, breath UJJAYI, you will fell good. And the tears, the comes to purify something, it is also a gift for your sooul.

Hi dear...thank you for ur participating .I confirm all the others comments but let me tell u another thing about crying after Yoga class..........especially when u say u cry after resting its perhaps because of the time of resting aswell...if we would be in a depressed mood for example it might cause such a reaction after practicing yoga n after long savasana.....it is recomended that its better to decrease the time of relaxtion for people who are not in a good and happy mood...little by little the type of feelings changes and u might stay more in relaxation...also u can do one thing and that is u can open ur eyes during the time of relaxation ...u may try that and see whether its better or not...happy to hear from you..cheers.laleh
