Hey there! Pranayama, if practiced correctly, can't harm you! You might be surprised for the unprecedented feelings and experience, but that's considered a good thing. Try to read some internet resources on the subject, there are quite a lot. Personally I find practical info on Yoga basic or in united Yogis forums. One can get a full yoga practice through breathing exercise so I think you should give it a try :)
Pranayam can never harm you .Pranayam is natural way of breathing only.As we grow old we cease to have natural breathing.It is a technique to bring you back to your natural way.That is why for explaining proper/belly breathing,we always suggest to watch a few months old child sleeping,and breathing.If you feel too much impact of it,be happy because it is cleansing your system.

Hi,I am doing Pranayama for 1 hour daily early morning for last 3
months for treating my migraines.I feel more energetic but still i
suffer with migraines.please help??
Pranayama when done for therapy should be practiced under a well realized master otherwise its like a nuclear bomb..that which can make can also break.
Hey don't b afraid of doing this so. It is a Breathing exercise. Its not a big deal and complicated task, just a little practice is require and you can do this well. Let me tell you a tip that try to focus on your breathing sounds it can create focus on your over all breathing exercise.
