In a controversy, the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth and have begun striving for ourselves.

I haven't done it in a few years, and I have joined this site, so as to start my practice again. But when I was taking classes.. I did it whenever I could, be it morning , afternoon or evening.. I loved how I felt afterward. I can't wait to start again.

Hi my name is Fiona,
I do Hatha yoga for 2, 5 years with a pause from a year. I started doing yoga again this month. I do yoga whenever i feel like doing yoga. Last year i was to busy finishing my study.
I work 32 hours a week, Now I study social work so i'm all the time very busy and very stressd.
Yoga really helps me to relax.

I'm with you NamasteJerry, I do yoga whenever the need arises, usually when I'm feeling overwhelmed with thoughts or disconnected from myself. I find it fantastic for quietening the mind and reconnecting and grounding myself. Mornings are a great time and so are late afternoons- to reinforce the tranquil feeling as you settle into the swing of the evening.

personally, my roommate and i prefer doing yoga at night while watching our favorite shows and/or movies because it somewhat destresses us from the long, hard day at work.

Hi there all, Yoga was a part of my life as a little girl - I used to go to classes with my mother. But I now too have started yoga and of course feel fantastic. Of course I feel that any time of the day would be a suitable time to do yoga. Regarding the time one does yoga, I've read up a bit about yoga and the yoga lifestyle. And according to what I've read they speak about waking up during the abrosial hour (2 1/2 hours before sunrise) and doing the . cleansing routine, meditation and japa and the asana's and Pranayama. My question is has anyone done this and how does one adapt to the yoga lifestyle.

I like to practice whenever I feel like it. Some times in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes both.

For me it is a lifestyle, my body
dictates what time is best to practice it. In fact I have practiced
early morning, afternoon, and evening. One time I woke up in the
middle of the night and found myself yearning for yoga!

My favorite time to do yoga is in the morning because I feel like I continue to feel the benefits of my practice during the entire day. I always feel more alive if I practice first thing in the morning.
