The most common opinion on the goal of yoga is
to reach enlightenment. Yoga for elderly will definitely help them regain their strength and vibrance.

Good Morning, I'm not sure I understand the question being stated in this post? Perhaps it is a comment and not a question at all? Either way it sounds interesting so please specify what you are trying to say . What I took from the post was that you were asking if yoga is more than just being enlightened especially because it can benefit the elderly? Yoga can be great for elderly as it helps to strengthen the muscles especially those inner hard to target muscles, it also helps to detoxify certain organs when doing twists and other poses, chanting activates the lymphatic system, stretching keeps muscles from straining, a clear mind keeps it sharp so that memory loss is less occurring, and the joints are lubricated. There is a list that goes on when it comes to the benefits of yoga. While yoga is great for everyone of any age, it is obviously seen as something even more important for the elderly because a person becomes so much more fragile in many ways as we get older. I don't want to confuse my point with something like "Don't start doing yoga until you are 80 years of age." That is not my point. We must practice always, and carry it into our old age with us, but of course, it is never to soon or too late to start practicing either. Namaste
