I''m new to Yoga as of August 2009. I''ve never actually taken a formal class ( I live in a small town with limited classes, and I often work really long hours). I practice 3 to 4 times a week with my Barbara Benagh DVDs, and I''m reading, and re-reading as necessary, a book by Donna Farhi, Bringing Yoga to Life, which has become almost dog-eared already. So far these two resources have been terrific go-tos for motivation and encouragement.
Years ago I used Lilias tapes, but I never understood at that time how vital the breathing techniques are, and I had no idea that the yoga practice was supposed to leave the mat with me.
I am so looking forward to the benefits I''ll get from the knowledge and experience on this site. I''m so fortunate to have found it, by accident, actually. Thanks for providing this space!
