Yoga Teacher Training

Written by Super Member: Kristina

Yoga Teacher Training I have taken three teacher trainings and have found them to all be very beneficial on how I interact with people from all walks of my life - personal, professional, corporate businesses, at Ashrams, in spiritual communities, and as a Yoga teacher. Before I "discovered" Yoga, I was seeking something that could balance out all of the disparate and secularized aspects of life - study, work, play, family, friends, partying, music, and science. I found it in one beautiful body of knowledge, philosophy, and practice: Yoga.

Some of my professional career have spanned everything from public relations to currently working as an advertising producer, and Yoga helps every second of the way. My teacher trainings have shown me how to see people not simply for their bodies and what is coming out of their mouths, but for their energy and spirit. I have seen through Yoga Teacher Training that most people, when stressed, tend to "act out". This "acting out" can happen by saying negative things, eating bad food, "zoning out", and sometimes just plain old being abusive.

Because of my teacher trainings, I have seen where and how people hold stress and tension in their bodies. I have been given a body of practices such as Hatha Yoga, Meditation, mantra repetition, and conscious relaxation to not only help myself out of a stressful situation, but also guide others when they are having a difficult moment. Sometimes, in the office, when people are having a hard time, I send them a blessing, a mantra, and perhaps they are not affected by this blessing in a direct way, but I don't end up taking on their stress and tension. By not taking on the stress and tension of others, I don't propagate any more negativity.

Ananda Ahsram's teacher training will be a very thorough culmination of the years of Yoga studies and practice that I and my fellow teachers at Ananda Ashram have been through. I encourage people who may not even teach Yoga to train in the practice because anyone - doctors, lawyers, accountants, housewives, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters will find that Yoga Teacher Training will help them in all of their relationships.

Hello Kristina,
Thanks for sharing the effect of Yoga in your practical life. How a Traditional Teachers Training Course helped you to develop the right attitude towards the world around you and the right attitude towards yourself. That is why Yoga is a complete ’Life Style” that teaches us everything included in our life through its eight different limbs, step by step, which is known as “Ashtanga-Yoga”. Yes Kristina, this is true, no matter whether you go to teach Yoga or not, if you go for this kind of TTC that will help you in your practical life to bring calmness and happiness always. So I also support your thoughts that everyone should go for a Yoga TTC (Traditional).
Thanks & God bless you
