Meditation Teacher Training on Mar. 10 to 19

The Expanding Light Retreat Center in Nevada City, California will hold the first part of their Meditation Teacher Training on March 10 to 19 to teach aspiring meditation teachers share their knowledge more effectively.
The benefits of meditation is now well-recognized and the demand for meditation teachers has increased. This workshop will teach those who want to become teachers how they could impart their skills to their students more easily.
Moreover, the following classes will also be taught:
- What meditation is and what it is not;
- How to get comfortable for a silent, sitting meditation;
- Using the breath to calm the body and mind;
- Concentration techniques to overcome mental restlessness;
- How to use affirmations, visualization, walking meditations, and nature meditations;
- How to open the heart and develop your feeling nature;
- Music as an aid to meditation;
- Effective presentation skills and how to overcome stage fright;
- Becoming a truly dynamic teacher;
- How to organize and market your classes.
In addition, participants will go through daily meditations and Ananda Yoga practices and will be given a teaching manual. Those who finish the course will receive a Certificate of Completion and credits for a Level 2 yoga teacher certification.
The class will be taught by some of Ananda's best teachers. Those who missed this class can attend the June 23 to July 2 class or the October 13 to 22 class. Part two of the training will take place on August 6 to 12.
