Check Out The Yoga Place's Events for May!

The Yoga Place in North Canton, Ohio has several events and fund raisers that are slated for late April and May. Try to check them out and see if you can attend at least one of them.

First up is meditative class, “Pranayama: The Gentle Art of Mindful Breathing”. It is divided into four sessions that aims to help participants, “develop greater concentration and deeper relaxation.” The class which will be conducted by the Yoga Place director Mike Curtis will be held every Monday from May 1-22 from 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm. Meanwhile, on Sunday, May 21, Karen Allgire will be holding an Iyengar Class from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

As for the fund raising events, the Yoga Place will be sponsoring two for late April and May, as of press time. The first one would be the “Fundraiser for the Canton Symphony: Gentle Chair – Yoga Class” on April 29 and May 6. The class is designed for beginners and all the proceeds will go to the Canton Symphony. Then on May 7, there will be another fund raising event for the renovation of the Yoga Place. It will feature a special performance by Breathing Room which features traditional Indian call-and-response chanting.
