WIS Television has recently reported that contrary to popular belief, yoga and pilates do not burn as much calories as higher-intensity activities. Quoting Cedric Bryant, the article said that if one wants to undergo
aerobic conditioning and to burn calories, one should supplement his or her practice of yoga and pilates with, "more conventional cardiovascular type workouts."
