Yoga practice involves stretching and strengthening, both physically and spiritually. Newest yoga clothing trends have been reflecting the practitioners' desire to show and spread yoga's beautiful messages. "Message
shirts" - yoga tops with slogans on them - which is gaining huge popularity among peace seekers and yoga affectionados are another way to spread a spiritual message across.
Yoga tops with messages like "steady bliss," "you are love," "happiness is within" and (personal favorite) "OH" in front and "Mmm…" on the back to form an "OM" sound are "getting bought like hot potatoes," according to Anastasia, yoga clothing designer, yoga teacher and an owner of www.steadybliss.com where the shirts are available for sale alongside other products with spiritual messages. Anastasia's spiritual clothing line was featured in Fit Yoga magazine, on the Tennis Channel, Lucky magazine, in Urban Yoga video, in yoga-for-tennis DVD series and online. "The best part about these spiritual message T-shirts and tank tops is that you can wear one to your yoga class, take a shower and wear another one to a party with a pair of jeans," says Marcia Kent, 26, graduate student and a longtime yoga practitioner.
Most would agree that yoga is about deepening the connection to the inner spiritual being, about getting in touch with who we really are. "Wearing a Steady Bliss tank top makes me happier, as it brings me closer to myself," says Brian Dane, 37.

Bukodon, soulful yoga, nude yoga, and yoga for surfers are just some of the newest types of yoga that are making quite an impression nowadays.According to Read Full Story 43106&page=4" class="InNewsLink" TARGET="_blank">www.abc.go.com, the "Yoga for America" survey collected by the Harris Interactive Service Bureau on behalf of Yoga Journal shows that yoga enthusiasts are turning more into yoga hybrids or the combination of yoga and sports or fitness activity.
However, Dr. Cedric Bryant, chief science officer for the American Council on Exercise warns about the potential of these hybrids to strip yoga of its value. "It's just trying to be innovative to attract an audience," Bryant says. "In the quest for making things new and different and innovative they will compromise some of the benefits," he adds.
Bryant advises yoga enthusiasts to consider some pointers when planning to join a hybrid yoga class. Some of these pointers are the background of the yoga teacher, certification programs, the publicity it generates, and the incorporation of fundamental yoga moves.

In Israel, a group of transcendental meditation (TM) practitioners are building a "Shield of Invincibility" around the Jewish state through Yogic flying.Yogic flying is the supposed ability to levitate th rough the advanced practice of TM. Basing from a formula that says that the square root of one percent of a country's population is the number needed to create a shield of invincibility, 265 people have to simultaneously do yogic flying.
However, the group of TM practitioners which includes architects and health workers has failed to reach that target number. Their number dwindled from 65 to 20. Reuven Zelinkovsky, a former colonel in the Israeli army and a member of the yogic flying group, says that it is the reason why the war between Israel and Lebanon has not stopped yet.
In Lebanon, another yogic flying group is said to be at work, says Zelinkovsky. However, they are not in contact with them.

India - In the Shivdaspur area of Varanasi and in Delhi's GB Road red light district, sex workers were introduced to the art of yoga. Bhartiya Patita Uddhar Samiti, an organization devoted to the welfare of prostitutes, and the Friends Society initiated the project and plan to teach yoga to sex workers throughout the country. Ashish Agarwal, Friends Society president, says that yoga classes would be held in more than 1,100 red light districts in India.
The president of Bhartiya Patita Uddhar Samiti says that yoga will help sex workers keep themselves mentally and physically fit.

India - Yoga may be introduced to Kerala prison if plans push through.State health minister P.K. Sreemathy has said that she will do her part so that yoga will be introduced in Kerala prison. "We will ha ve to work out a scheme for this and I will do my bit for this," she said. Screemathy believes that yoga could provide solace for tensed prisoners.
Screemathy proposes that yoga classes would be taught by a responsible organization. She notes what had happened in Kannur Jail, where problems developed because yoga classes were taught by a mystic.
