Open Yoga for Surfers to be Held on Kennebunk
TUESDAY, 26 JUNE 2007
The practice of yoga helps build core strength, balance and flexibility. As a surfer, these are very beneficial to enhancing your ability and comfort on the board. Yoga can be a great foundation for beginners and the most seasoned surfers to build their skills.
Wahine Kai North East surf club will be sponsoring an hour long yoga session to introduce to the club and the benefits of yoga to the north east surfing community. Wahine Kai is an all women's surf club that is focused on empowering women through surfing in a fun and great environment.
The yoga session will be held from 8-9 am on Kennebunk beach in Kennebunk, Maine. Yoga instructor Anna Reilly specializes in teaching yoga to surfers and has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. There is free parking at Kennebunk Beach before 9 am and open beach access. The club is asking that participants RSVP to either info@hbwomensurfclub.com or call (207) 423-9066, and please bring a yoga mat or beach towel and a $5 donation. You can surf before or after the yoga session. So grab your surfboard and yoga mat and join us on July 28.
