Indian Spreads Yoga in China

Kapil Gautam, 27, is spreading yoga in China where many people believe it is the best way to stay slim. Gautam is popularly known as “Kabbi Laoshi” or Kapil the Teacher and he came to China two years ago to study a new language. In Shenyang town, he started teaching yoga to people who want to learn the ancient Indian science. He is one of the estimated 400 yoga teachers from India who have made India their home and are making a mark.
A school hired him to teach yoga and his students are all women, from 20 to 50 years in age, eager to be in good shape. Gautam teaches Hatha yoga, Power yoga and Hot yoga. He said, “The Chinese are crazy about yoga. Many feel that it is the best way to stay slim all through life.”
