Cambridge Yoga Master Fights Recession Stress

In the midst of a global economic meltdown, physical well-being has been neglected by many due to financial strains – too many bills and too little money. This is a "double whammy" because exercise is both stress reliever and essential to a healthy lifestyle. Yoga is ideal for these times since it works not only on the body but also on, the mind and the spirit. Strenuous physical exercises combined with breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques are just what the Doctor ordered for high stress times. The alternative can often be undesired weight-gain, increased alcohol use or depression.

SoniYoga in Cambridge wants to help. Soni Anderson, owner of SoniYoga, is inviting anyone to come to her yoga classes and pay what they can afford, even if it is nothing at all, for the months of April and May. "Yoga is so important in these times to help people take care of themselves. " Soni says. And her students agree, ”Soni is an amazing teacher and I always leave her class feeling awesome. I don’t know what I would do without yoga” says one student, “and I’m so glad now I can keep coming and pay what I can each day”.

SoniYoga has classes seven days a week with a full program of classes focusing on Hatha yoga, plus classes in Kundalini, Sivananda and yoga flow.
