Zen Yoga Bali Announces 2011 Yoga Retreats

WEDNESDAY, 1 SEPTEMBER 2010

Zen Yoga Bali announces its 2011 Group Yoga and Ayurveda Retreat schedule, 300 hour Vinyasa/Ashtanga Teacher Training Intensive schedule and is now offering third-party retreat organization, facilitation and hosting. Courses are directed by Cassie Aitken, founder of Hot Yoga Nashville and Yoga Brain, in collaboration with Zen Resort Bali. Zen Resort Bali, a holistic and nature retreat located off the North coast of Bali, provides both seclusion and rare access to a classically trained Ayurvedic Doctor and Ayurvedic therapy staff.

Group Yoga and Ayurveda retreats are scheduled to begin July 3, July 10, and July 17, with potential additional 2011 events to be announced in early 2011. Private Yoga and Ayurveda retreats are being offered for any two weeks from mid May through October.

The two week yoga retreats are designed to offer an in-depth experience of the yogic lifestyle and include daily Yoga and meditation classes, Ayurveda techniques workshops, individual consultation with Ayurvedic Doctor, multiple off-site excursions, and more. These all level events also meet the criteria for Yoga Alliance's Continuing Education with 70 (CE) hours. Details are available at www.zenyogabali.com/yoga-retreats/group-retreats.shtml.

Two 300 Hour Vinyasa/Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Intensives are scheduled to begin May 28 and July 31, with potential additions to be announced in early 2011. Each 4 week teacher training programme is designed to be an intensive training in the basics of teaching and studying Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. The Ashtanga Primary Series will be used as a structure along with deep exploration of the evolving sequencing in Vinyasa Flow, along with some involvement in Restorative Yoga.

Uniquely designed as a dynamic catalyst for personal growth, topics covered include: teaching, communication, adjustments, sequencing, anatomy & physiology, yoga philosophy, pranayama & meditation, Ayurvedic philosophy and techniques, and the business of yoga. Additionally, each student will receive an individual consultation with an Ayurvedic Doctor and 4 prescribed treatments.

Zen Yoga Bali’s 300 hour curriculum exceeds the Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training standards. This means that successful graduates will be eligible to apply for Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and students attending who are already RYT-200 certified may be eligible to apply for E-RYT 500 status.

Retreat and Teacher Training Events are directed by senior teacher trainer Cassie Aitken, founder of Hot Yoga Nashville, and rising favorite on the international yoga scene. Cassie has studied extensively with dozens of modern masters and has been teaching yoga for nearly two decades.

“We really strive to create a rare and authentic Ayurveda and Yoga experience,” say’s Cassie Aitken, director of Zen Yoga Bali. “We want to provide participants of all levels of experience with the opportunity to unplug from the daily grind, to experience a slower pace, a devotional setting, connection with nature, a truly Yogic lifestyle... and to bring the peace of that sanctuary-type experience back home with them to share with others. The natural beauty and Balinese way of life supports, enhances and even inspires my work here, for which I have great passion, hence our tag line...”

Zen Yoga Bali’s tagline is: “Passion-- For life. For Yoga. For Ayurveda. For nature. For Bali.” Online registration for Group Yoga Retreats and Teacher Training is available at http://www.zenyogabali.com/register. (Both the May 28 Teacher Training and the July 3 Group Retreat are filled to capacity.)

In addition to Yoga and Ayurveda Retreats and 300 hour Ashtanga/Vinyasa Teacher Training, Zen Yoga Bali can support the facilitation and hosting of third-party programs at the level desired. Gatherings of up to 40 individuals can be accommodated and Retreats may be scheduled year round for any length of time. While primarily serving groups with a spiritual, educational, or healing focus, the Center welcomes diversity and is open to all beliefs and paths.
