CorePower Cares: Support Japan Relief Efforts
FRIDAY, 25 MARCH 2011
From March 24 – March 31, CorePower Yoga studios will accept donations to support Japan relief
efforts. The Denver-based yoga company will accept donations at all 51 studio locations across the
country as part of its new CorePower Cares program.
All donations up to $5,000 will be matched by both CorePower Yoga and the company’s CEO and
founder, Trevor Tice. The American Red Cross will receive the donations to assist with relief efforts in
Japan following the recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis.
“CorePower Yoga cares about our community – whether that community is within the walls of our
studios or across the ocean in another country,” said Tice. “Yoga helps individuals pursue a better life
for themselves; the opportunity to help those in need gives our immediate community a chance to
practice yoga off their mat and create positive change in the lives of others.”
In early 2010, CorePower Yoga announced a similar donation campaign, accepting donations for the
victims of the Haiti earthquake. The company raised over $22,000 for The American Red Cross.
Donations will be accepted during class check-in or can be added on to yoga package, membership or
retail merchandise transactions. Students may also offer donations any time the studio is open,
generally 30 minutes before and after a class.
