Louise Ellis had a life long interest in yoga and Eastern philosophy, and has over thirty years of experience in many diverse aspects of yoga. She has maintained a daily practice since 1971 and continues to study extensively in India. When she first met her teacher, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 1991, she was captivated by the fluid grace of the ashtanga system.
