One of the many definitions of Yoga is "union". Integration is another word for union. In yoga, you learn to integrate all aspects of your being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, becoming one whole Self.

In Svaroopa Yoga, you will learn to release core spinal tensions, beginning at your tailbone, then the sacrum, the waist and finally the ribcage and neck. When these core tensions begin to release, there is a profound, and sometimes subtle shift, that occurs.

As you develop your inner awareness, you learn to live in your body a whole new way. You learn to accept and lean into support that you may not even realize has always been there. Your mind becomes quieter. The things that used to once upset you, become trivial.

Your body becomes more relaxed AND stronger, effortlessly. You feel a deeper connection to yourSelf. You move in life with a deeper sense of support and trust on all levels.

Maria Mazzi, RYT, is a registered yoga teacher with well over 1000 hours of yogic training. She teaches beginning to deeper levels of yoga. She also teaches Corporate Yoga for visiting Corporations to San Diego; Yoga for Seniors; Pre-Natal Yoga; Meditation for Beginners; and Yoga Retreats.
