Our comfortable accommodations feature organic linens, and three delicious vegetarian meals are offered daily by our gourmet chef. Our variety of meeting spaces and eco-friendly accommodations are designed to meet the highest standards of comfort within a variety of budget options. With a gracious 4,050 square foot main hall seating 300 persons, several break-out rooms, and personalized service and care, Menla is the perfect environment for board and staff retreats, national and international conferences, and as a meeting place for healthcare professionals, teachers of western and eastern philosophies and similar groups. It is also ideal for yoga retreats and teacher trainings, literary gatherings, artist's workshops and seminars, family reunions and meetings of all types.
Our Spa Complex will be expanded in 2007 to include a hot tub and 15-person sauna. Wifi is available in our main buildings, and most of our housing accommodations offer direct internet access.
Menla's convenient location in the Catskill Mountains of New York State is an ideal Northeast location, with numerous outdoor and cultural activities in the immediate area.

Group Rentals
Menla Mountain Retreat & Conference Center is an ideal setting for meetings, conferences, retreats, and trainings of all kinds. For information on how to book Menla for your program, please contact Linda Woznick.
Rates are based specifically upon your individual needs. Menla can accommodate 90-100 guests in on-site housing, and 300 participants in the Conference Center for larger meetings. We are happy to recommend off-site housing options for groups larger than 100 requiring local accommodations. We generally rent to groups with a minimum number of 35 participants. However, please don't hesitate to contact us for smaller groups -- we will try our best to pair your group with another small group in separate meeting facilities.
Menla can provide everything you need to produce a successful event, including audio-visual services, main meeting room and numerous breakout rooms, and other details specifically tailored to your event, offering specialized service and a variety of budget options
Meeting Rooms
Conference Center
The Nalanda Conference Center was built in 2001. It includes a main hall, Cafe, Bookstore and breakout spaces to satisfy virtually every functional need. A complete range of audiovisual and technology equipment, supplies, and services are available to groups visiting Menla. Our Conference Planning staff will work closely with you to assure that your meeting is a success.
Main Hall- 4,050 square feet (92' x 44')
- Capacity: 300 theater style, 150 classroom style
- Floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides.
- Hardwood floors.
- Perfect for conferences, meetings, arts, movement and yoga programs
Kessler Yoga Studio- 2560 square feet (64' x 40')
- Capacity: 100 theater style.
- Located in a secluded meadow, the Yoga Studio is the perfect environment for yoga, meditation or movement workshops or mid-sized meetings.
- Fully equipped with yoga equipment and props, bamboo floor, and floor to ceiling windows.
Sanctuary- 784 square feet (approx. 28' x 28')
- Capacity: 40 theater style
- The Sanctuary is a seven sided wooden structure with floor to ceiling windows featuring mountain views. It was built specifically for contemplative workshops and meditation.
Vintage Barn- 1160 square feet (40' x 29')
- Capacity: 85 theater style
- The 150 year-old Barn can be used as a primary meeting space, as an area for rest and relaxation, and for receptions and social events.
- High vaulted ceilings, oak hardwood floors.
Conference Center Breakout- 860 square feet (40' x 21.5')
- Capacity: 50 theater style
- This completely private room, located in the same building as the Main Hall, is an ideally situated break-out space. It can also be used as a smaller meeting room.
Delos Meeting Room- 750 square feet (30 x 25)
- Capacity: 50
- Conveniently located near dining facilities, accommodations, and wellness services, an ideal space for smaller more self-contained programs.
The Bookstore Lounge, Café and Dining Deck can be used as additional meeting spaces. There are also meeting spaces available in each of our private houses.
