South Hills Yoga
What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga is a 5000 year old system of personal development for body, mind, and spirit. Yoga practice includes asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), relaxation, and meditation, as well as healthy diet and ethical guidelines. In the yoga classes at South Hills Yoga, you will practice effective techniques for stretching, strengthening, breathing, and relaxation, for complete rejuvenation of body, mind, and spirit. Anita Luna's yoga classes support the individual needs and aims of each student, making yoga accessible, personal, and enjoyable. Everyone is welcome!
Why Practice Yoga?
Stress is prevalent in our modern society, and the cause of 85% of all disease. Yoga is a guaranteed solution for stress reduction. Yoga reduces stress through the "relaxation response," calming the mind and lowering blood pressure. Yoga is safe and gentle for all age groups and all levels of physical ability. Yoga also provides all the benefits of exercise, including increased muscle and bone strength, decreased body fat and weight loss, and enhanced psychological well-being.
