Balancing the Chakras- An ISHTA Yoga Workshop with Rachel Zinman
Chakras are energy centres that govern our mental, physical and emotional responses to life. When the chakras are balanced we experience a natural flow and flexibility that ripples out into the world around us. Understand the technology of he chakra system, recognise when each chakra is out of balance and energise and harmonise the chakras through ISHTA yoga meditations and asana sequences designed specifically for each chakra.

Rachel Zinman has practiced yoga for 18 years and taught for 13. In Australia she trained in both the Iyengar and Astanga methods, teaching yoga at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium in Lismore, New South Wales, where she was Head of Dance. She also co-created and produced a popular Australian Yoga Video series and a Kidsą Yoga Video. Rachel is a professional dancer, choreographer, award-winning musician and published poet. Her teaching style reflects her deep engagement with the arts: dynamic, precise, with an emphasis on mindfulness. Rachel met Alan finger in June 2000 and taught at Be Yoga for four years. While there she was the co-creator, coordinator and one of the facilitators and mentors in the Be Yoga Teacher Training Program. Rachel returned to Australia in September 2004, is currently teaching in the Yoga Arts Teacher Training, and facilitating workshops, retreats and trainings in Melbourne, Sydney, New York, Japan and Byron Bay. |
